Discipleship Resources

Stiles paints a picture of a church where evangelism is simply part of the culture. Leaders share their faith consistently and openly. Members follow, encouraging one another to make evangelism an ongoing way of life. A new way to live and share the gospel together.

In this concise guide, pastor Mark Dever outlines the who, what, where, when, why, and how of discipling―helping others follow Jesus.

Impossible Christianity reassures readers that they don’t need to feel a collective sense of guilt for sins in the past and solve every societal problem in the present. By reflecting on what Jesus actually taught about Christian discipleship, readers will be newly encouraged to pursue single-minded devotion to God and find lasting joy in a life of sincere and simple obedience.

GLORY in Disguise: Seeing God in Our Every Day unveils to the reader how God's presence and life-giving power, His glory, are often hidden in the ordinariness of our lives on this earth. Each chapter includes a Scripture, a story/illustration from everyday life, scriptural application, a poem, a prayer, and suggestions for journaling.

You are never beyond the reach of God’s grace―or the need for it. As we struggle to become more like Christ, we can easily lose sight of grace in favor of the discipline we put ourselves through. Renowned author Jerry Bridges offers a clear and thorough explanation of the gospel and what it means to the believer.

Glorify God and reach peace between two people. An interpersonal conflict can be complicated. Its resolution doesn’t have to be. Welcome to Peace Pursuit.

Dallas Willard presents a way of living that enables ordinary men and women to enjoy the fruit of the Christian life. He reveals how the key to self-transformation resides in the practice of the spiritual disciplines. The Spirit of the Disciplines is for everyone who strives to be a disciple of Jesus in thought and action as well as intention.

This book opens the door to reveal insights from the author’s first-hand experiences as a Christian in a Muslim-dominated country. You will be invited to accompany others putting into practice the gospel of the unconditional love of God in Jesus Christ among neighbors coming from a worldview different from your own.

Sexual Sanity for Women guides participants through the process of understanding why they struggle with destructive relational and sexual patterns and how the gospel brings change and a new way of living. Twenty lessons guide participants to understand God's good design for sexuality, the underlying reasons they struggle with sexual brokenness, and how the grace and truth of Jesus Christ can be applied to their struggles.

Elliot Clark guides us through Peter's letter with striking insights for today. Whether we're in positions of power or weakness, influence or marginalization, all of us are called to live and witness as exiles in a world that's not our home. This is our job description. This is our mission. This is our opportunity.

We must be discerning if we are to "truly execute justice" as Scripture commands. Not everything called "social justice" today is compatible with a biblical vision of a better world. The Bible offers hopeful and distinctive answers to deep questions of worship, community, salvation, and knowledge that ought to mark a uniquely Christian pursuit of justice.

Many spend their lives on trivial diversions, seeking earthly comfort and pleasure above all else. But Jesus said, “Whoever loses his life for my sake will save it,” calling us into the eternal purpose and God-exalting life for which we were made. John Piper warns readers of the dangers of an irrelevant life that counts for nothing and calls Christians to the deeper joys, and risks, that matter for eternity.

Social media can be both a delight and a disaster for women who want to love God and love neighbor. The latest surveys show Americans spend more than two hours a day scrolling, posting, and liking. How can we navigate this area of our lives with grace and discernment? Join nine authors as they explore social media's potential and pitfalls―along with the biblical principles we need to honor the Lord online.

Who am I? Who does the Bible tell me I am in Christ? We'll seek to answer this question by: Exposing our false notions of identity, understanding the biblical truth of our identity in Christ, and reflecting on what it looks like to live in our new (and true) identity.

In The Gospel at Work, Sebastian Traeger and Greg Gilbert unpack the powerful ways in which the gospel can transform how we do what we do, releasing us from the cultural pressures of both an all-consuming devotion and a punch-in, punch-out mentality - in order to find the freedom of a work ethic rooted in serving Christ.

Two leading disciple makers explain how they mentor disciples in one of the most successful discipleship-based churches in North America. Biblical and practical, this book gets down to the real questions in the disciple making process.

Dr. Robert E. Coleman looks to the Bible to find the answer to the question: What was Christ's strategy for evangelism?

Parents often feel unqualified for the job at hand. The good news is God doesn't call people to be parents because they are able. If you read your Bible carefully, you will understand that God doesn't call able people to do important things. God's plan is to make his invisible grace visible to children by sending parents of grace to give grace to children who need it.

Jan Loyd - A Branch in the Vine
Jan writes: “Years ago, God used Andrew Murray’s book Abide in Christ to transform my Christian walk. I came to realize, 'I'm just a branch' — a beloved one, and that’s all I ever have to be. I came to realize the Life of Christ, the Vine, will flow in and through me as I just rest in Him as a branch. This is what I write about —union with Christ as Life, and how this affects life on this earth. Join me in this journey, fellow branch in the Vine."

I am the Vine, you are the branches.  He who abides in Me , and I in Him, bears much fruit.  For apart from Me, you can do nothing. John 15:5

Jan Loyd invites you to join her in this journey through the unfathomable treasures of the Scriptures as we catch a fresh glimpse at our relationship with the Living God…all through some verbal treasures called prepositions.

“I write for women, as I am one. There are all kinds of women, each of us unique, but we share certain ways of looking at life in all its perplexity. I guess I would say I know us best, but then, we are each—still—a mystery. I love the mystery. “

Amy has this to say about her site.  “So the story goes like this…One day I said to myself, “Self, there really aren’t enough blogs in the world. Let us make a blog in our own image, in our likeness.” I leave it up to you to determine if it is “good”. I personally have my doubts.”
